About Me

CURRENT MISSION

You will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read. - Charles Jones

ABOUT ME

I'm a dad of three lovely little girls who are my entire focus when they are with me. I'm very open minded and consider people who I've not met to be friends I've not yet made (which is why CS is very fitting for me).

PHILOSOPHY

Here are a few passages that sum up my personal philosophy:

"I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again."
- Stephen Grellet

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
- Robert Frost

It has to start somewhere It has to start sometime
What better place than here, what better time than now?
- Rage Against the Machine

You will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this point I'm just getting started. I plan to make a few trips locally first to test things out and then start booking a few flights and surfing some couches further away. Once the snow starts to fall I'm sure I'll be surfing often to those places that have mountains to ride. :)

You are welcome on my couch so long as the scheduling works out! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet; looking to add to those experiences in the near future.

Interests

I'm a geek at heart... so anything technology related spins the propeller on my beanie. I enjoy photography but haven't invested in really good gear yet. I'm interested in good conversation and having my thoughts challenged in ways they aren't normally or haven't been before.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've been listening to a ton of Ben Folds recently, but my music tastes are VERY eclectic. A friend of mine just got me into Radiohead (I know, what rock have I been living under).

I like any movie that makes me think in different ways than I have before. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Fight Club, Peaceful Warrior are a few that come to mind.

My taste in books is all over the board as well. I've read "The Secret", some Dan Brown, some business and leadership books, 50 Cent's book, and a variety of things in between.

I don't have a TV right now, but I'm sure when football season comes back around I'll be spending Sunday's at sports bars.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went skydiving in Las Vegas. The guy strapped to my back claimed we could see four states from the free fall (Nevada, Colorado, Arizona and California). I was too busy being amazed at the experience to truly take in the geography lesson. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to juggle. I can probably teach you more than that, but that's the first tangible thing that came to mind. Oh, and I can teach you about computers.

Countries I’ve Visited
