COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first couch surfed in Brazil where I Pedro and his sister Tatiana. They treated me as if I was part of the family, I was able to help Tati learn English and got a better perspective on Sao Paulo through the eyes of my hosts!

One moment I will never forget was being taken to an infamous favela in Rio de Janeiro for a funke party. The music was amazing, the tension palpable, and was a once in a life time experience. I was one of three gringas in a see of hundreds. Another amazing moment I can remember while traveling was when a little girl in the village of Kumily, Kerala saw me coming down the ally, grabbed a beautiful pink flower off of a tree, and gave it to me as I approached her. The gesture was so heartwarming.
