Overview
About Me
I'm a South Dakota rancher's son recently returned from two years in rural Cameroon who's spent the past few years working with African farmers, studying on the California coast, riding in South American buses (usually with chickens and/or children on my lap), and drinking beers on New York rooftops.
My infatuation with maps began before I could talk and I follow politics and pop culture with equal fervor.
My mission: To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury
and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and
wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act
frankly; to listen to the stars and birds, to babes and sages with an
open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions,
hurry never.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I´ve met amazing people through couchsurfing over the years, so my main inspiration is the selfish hope that that continues.
I've never had a bad couchsurfing experience. I've learned how to make Swedish meatballs, partied in hideaway bars, received dozens of music/book recommendations, and usually had my worldview adjusted.
