About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore the mystery and fun of the world!

ABOUT ME

I love cats. I study linguistics. I suffer a lot but still I get joy out of that. I used to teach English in Taiwan, but now I'm a visitor at Lancaster University. I enjoy my life here.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe diem.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about CS from a radio talk show and I thought the idea is coooool! I may have a mattress and I am willing to show you around in my place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I do not travel a lot so my experiences are limited. I appreciate those hosting me and sharing with me their stories and thoughts. To me, couchsurfing is not a chance to save money, but an opportunity to meet and talk with people in the place you're visiting. I like it. Travelling to me is no more going to sightseeing spots, taking pics and leaving. It's having interaction with local people instead.

Interests

I like travelling around to see the world. I go traveling whenever I have a chance. I like to meet people from all parts of the world. I like cats. I like musicals, and actually one of the courses I taught was on musicals. I like walking around in a new place.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies. I like a variety of movies. The movie I have been to last time is The Artist. There are so many symbols/metaphors in the acting and settings.
Music. I like pop and classical music. It depends on my mood. When I am working out, pop music is great. When I am taking a break, classical music is good company. But I don't have any particular musician in mind.
Books. I think Alice in Wonderland, though written for kids, is full of fun. It's got so much linguistic stuff inside and I think there's hardly any parrallel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Back to the time when Internet was not prevalent, I went to Malaysia to travel with a person who I'd never met in person. This experience encouraged me to 'meet' people on the net.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd very much like to share my experience of learning/studying language. I am interested in learning knowledge about musicals.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Slovakia, Sweden, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
