About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission: to make the most of my experience here in France, which includes improving my French!
ABOUT ME
My culture is a big part of who I am, whether I want it to be or not. Growing up Hmong and American has definitely been a struggle, but I've learned to better appreciate it. It has made me a stronger and better person.
PHILOSOPHY
Throughout my four years of college, I hardly did anything outside of studying-- hardly made any friends, hardly made any lasting memories. Since then, I have decided to live life for me and not let my culture limit my goals, to try and not think too much about my parents' disapproval, no matter how hard that may be. I've tried to find a balance, of being Hmong and being American.

Music, Movies, and Books
Current favorite movie: 500 Days of Summer-- I LOVE Joseph Gordon-Levitt
One of my all-time favorite books: The Giver, by Lois Lowry
Music: Rock and Linkin Park (I saw them in concert in Quebec City on a rainy, muddy night! It was amazing, even though I stood outside the gates for the majority of the concert before a security guard took pity on me and my boyfriend and let us in for the last 30 mins. It was magical!)
Favorite Writers (the ones that first pop into my head): Roald Dahl and Shel Silverstein
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One and amazing thing I have done recently, aside from leaving Minnesota for seven months, was getting a tattoo. I absolutely love it! It's a leaf symbol from the Disney Pixar movie, Wall-e. If you've seen the movie, it's the leaf symbol on Eve. If you haven't seen the movie yet, you need to :)
