About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To not be too sad about my awesome trip finishing...start saving for the next one

ABOUT ME

I like people. Not all at once or in huge crowds, but people in general I get on very well with. I enjoy difference, learning, hearing an opinion, arguing a point, discovering new things and being made to think. I try to think positive and act positive.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't take yourself to seriously...or other people for that matter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started hosting in February this year as I had spare room in my house and wanted to meet new and interesting people. I hosted around 20 people(guys, girls and couples) from all around the world. I was planning a world trip so wanted to offer my couch, get involved, see how it all works and accrue some karma points. Everyone so far has been fantastic, and I have really learnt so much from each person who has passed through. I stayed with a few of the CS'ers who I hosted during my trip which was great and I also stayed with a few new people. Such a great way to be introduced to a new city...

Interests

The outdoors, surfing, beach time, reading everything and anything, planning an adventure, thinking, friends, sport, beer, photography, current affairs, politics, music.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Literally everything. I love finding out about music i've never heard of from around the world. If I was to see 3 acts from history I'd go see Bob Marley, Mozart and Michael Jackson. Go figure!

Books: Currently reading some great books, a murder mystery series(first one ever and love it), Francois Lelord's books about Hector the psychiatrist (easy and fun read, with plenty to get you thinking about), travel guides to Iceland and Costa Rica. My favourite books are generally true stories or travel based...top 2 would be Shantaram and Mr Nice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived on a small deserted pacific island, bungy jumped, skydived, sailed, swam with sharks, surfed some of the worlds best waves and spotted a UFO (I think...).
