Overview
About Me
I'm very easygoing and curious. Love animals, spending time in nature and music (busking, the guitar, electronic and others). I know how to program and usually find it fun, but would like to find better ways to express myself (through arts). I love genuine people and I think courage is one of the highest virtues. Different cultures fascinate me. I smile a lot.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A nice tool to find like-minded people and a way to prolong my trips by cutting back on expenses. In the future I want to retribute the hosting too.
Interests
I'm interested in a lot of things, but not really specialized in any. Exploring (hope I never stop!), finding out and acting on my values, building genuine relations... Those are the things I consider most important.
However I also like to have fun as much as everyone else: drinking and sporadically taking stronger stuff, dancing and being energised by DnB/Techno/Trance (percussion works as well), wandering the streets looking for good street music, etc. Some books, movies and tv series have stayed with me, but I'm definitely not a culture geek. On the geeky side though: I play computer games when not travelling, mostly strategy, and my absolute favourite/my worst addiction is called Europa Universalis.
I have also dabbled in cultural and social research and those themes continue to interest me. While travelling, I always trying to 'spot the differences' and 'spot the similarities', and make my best to learn and communicate using the local language. Even though I met many very interesting travellers, I usually try to mix with the locals instead.
When I have something to do, I spend hours on Wikipedia or Youtube instead. What about the history of that empire? Wtf quantum mechanics?! The philosophy of Kant! Ending up with 30 open tabs and stressing about that thing I had to do. I procrastinate a lot, don't deal well with schedules and need the stress of deadlines to actually create anything. But I can talk superficially about a lot of stuff ;P
Finally, even if nothing else is there, Nature. More than an interest, it's mostly a necessity to sometimes go, alone or with a few relaxed people, somewhere on a forest, or a mountain... And escape the noise, connect with the earth, paying attention to the other inhabitants of this planet... and looking at this incredibly beautiful thing all around us, about which we know so little.
