About Me
Hello! I am currently living in Vancouver, Canada. I am flying into Brisbane on April 1st to begin my working holiday :) My plan is to find work around Gold Coast after the Rabbit Eats Lettuce Festival. I have some time to chill and get aquatinted with the area so I figured I would spend my first weekend in Byron Bay meeting new friends before reuniting with old ones!
Interests and hobbies:
> Exploring via walks and hikes.
> I am dive certified but will be on a budget so likely won't be diving for the first while.
> I never get tired of laying on the beach, everrrrr.
> I've been to many festivals and stayed in several collective communities (Envision, Burning Man, & Funghi Academy to name a few familiar ones).
> Cooking with people and sharing meals fills my love cup right to the brim! (I prefer veggie and vegan food but don't discriminate).
> Eating food in general is pretty great.
> love wine and craft beer!
> Always down for some yoga and looking forward to building on my practice which is admittedly lacking atm.
I am an introverted extrovert and I love meeting new people and sharing experiences but don't often jump at the opportunity as often as I should. Big groups and hostel settings are often intimidating for me so a local host really is my ideal experience.
I will likely spend a good portion of time solo but would love to meet someone to connect with, show me around and share stories/tips/insights/visions/ etc.
This working holiday has been postponed time and time again and after a rough start to the new year I could not be more grateful that it is finally happening. Here’s to healing, growing and amazing communities such as this! <3
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been hosteling for the vast majority of my travels and I would love to try a new experience! I would be lying if I said I would prefer to exchange money for stay as opposed to conversation & companionship.
