I'm Daniela, a German native who always wanted to leave her country. First did so in my early 20's, traveling and volunteering for food and accommodation in pre-internet times in Spain and Portugal. Some years later Brazil because my (now grown-up) kids are half Brazilian. In my 30's and early 40's, I lived a very quiet and boring life in Germany. In 2014, I left Germany for good, first spend some time in East Europe, then a year in Portugal and am now in Latin America.

I like to call myself a communicative introvert. I do need my alone time but I also love to get to know new people and talk a lot. I'm better with just one or two persons than with a group of people. Not into partying but don't reject a glass of wine or a cocktail.

I'm now a full-time traveler and digital nomad, currently in Peru. Next destinations are Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.

Apart from my native German and English, I speak Spanish and Portuguese quite well. Not totally fluent but I feel comfortable with both languages and don't need to switch to English.

I joined Couchsurfing in 2010 to host people from all over the world and had great experiences. Now I'm back and would like to get to know the other side.
