Hello, Konnichiwa, Kamusta, Ola, Bonjour!

My name is Nurul, or you can also call me Nadira. I’m from Malaysia. I'm big on backpacking & hiking trips, museums/art galleries and I find joy in small things - like discovering the park behind my backyard. Absolutely love to meet new people, experience new culture and appreciate unique experiences/hidden gems as I go on trips.

This is my first time in using Couchsurfing so I don’t have any references yet, but promise that I’ll be respectful and nice :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m moving to Edinburgh with my husband this September for 1 year postgraduate studies. Looking forward to make the best of the year to explore Scotland and UK (and Europe too if travel permits). And it’d be really nice to meet new friends while we’re at it :)

Interests

Generally I love outdoors, and travelling (obviously) but I'm open to try new things. If you have something interesting (and safe!) that I should try, I'd be happy to join you!

I don't really have anything specific, it all depends on my mood at the point of time haha but I do explore a lot of genre across music, movies & books. That aside, I'm open for recommendations :)

I'm not sure if I ever did anything amazing, but I've survived life so far so that's pretty amazing I think?

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a bit of music - piano, guitar, gamelan (It's Malay traditional music if you ever heard), I'd be happy to teach you a bit although my skill is a bit rusty now. Also more than happy to share with you my life experience and stories :)

I'm sorry as I'm not able to host guests right now but hit me up if you need any advice/tips if you're travelling in Malaysia - especially in Kuala Lumpur.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd be happy to help you with household chores to telling bedtime stories to your kids (if you have any). I can also cook and quite a tech savvy so if you help with your PC/software issues I can try to help where I can!
