ABOUT ME

I’m a twentysomething from Mauritius who’s always on the look out for more adventures. After finishing school, I moved to London to in 2009 to study for a geography degree (hence the title) and life hasn’t been quite the same since. Mauritius, as beautiful as it is, doesn’t offer much options for travelling. The bane of living on a tropical island in the middle of the ocean, it’s bloody expensive to go anywhere, not that it stopped me from dreaming and being curious about the world.

then got offered the opportunity to study for a masters in Turkey and I thought to myself, “Why not?” At the time, Turkey as a country was quite unknown to me. Of course, I had read about the magnificence of Istanbul and it had always been on my place to visit list but other than that I had never given much thought to it. It was hard at first to get used to this weird place that Turkey is but now the more I learn about it, the more I want to explore the country.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to not travel.

Interests

I'm always interested in learning new things and meeting new people. I love exploring ancient city ruins, swimming (island girl!), city life, nature walks,... and the list goes on. And I can't live without my daily cuppa.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most amazing but short: doing a skydive. Must have been the most thrilling and scary thing I've ever done.

I'm also lucky to say I got to go to London Olympics - an amazing experience for me.
