About Me
CURRENT MISSION
What can I say... the travel bug, I've got it! The more I learn and discover about this world, the more I realize how little I know.
ABOUT ME
I've got a thirst to learn, to travel, to experience. There are so many things to do, to see in the world that I can hardly keep my butt on the seat for the desire to travel. The more you travel, the more you come to see and appreciate the differences in other people, other places. You see how the world has evolved, and you begin to understand why people are the way they are. You see blatant differences in culture, styles of life, and ways of thinking, but overwhelmingly you begin to see that despite these differences we are all inexplicably linked, all on this same rollercoaster called life.
PHILOSOPHY
When I was younger, I once heard a quote. I'm not sure why, but it struck me very powerfully and I've always had it in my head since. "the vast majority of people in this world are asleep. They may stir from time to time, but they live their lives more or less in slumber. However, there are a select few who are truly awake, and they live in constant and utter awe of the beauty and vibrance of the world which surrounds them."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Although I don't have too much to offer, I have an extra two couches that I'm more than happy to share.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Still a newbie, but I'm a quick learner!
Interests
Aw man this question always kills me... I love writing, cooking, geography, maps, reading, movies, driving, hiking, camping, shopping, discovering, meeting new people, partying, staying home, family, friends, making connections that last, and of course Exploring! There's nothing better than going to a new place/city and slowly introducing yourself to it, and sure enough after a time it will introduce itself to you.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm generally a fan of all types of music; I like the oldies, new stuff, rock, rap, alternative, acoustic...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've scuba-dived with sharks and manta-rays, snorkled with whales, hiked a mountain in summer and came back down with ice to prove it, traveled for 50 hours strait, slept only a couple of hours in a 70 hour timeframe, seen the sun rise from the middle of the ocean, flown a plane, skii'd black diamonds, slept on a bench, slept in a 5 star hotel, kissed without thought, lifted 500 lbs, been "tacked by a chicken," ate 36 gelato in 3 weeks, peed off a boat in paris, jumped off a 40 foot drop into running water, ate 2 kilos of prosciutto in a week, dove into lake tahoe in the middle of winter naked, ate delicious food that makes the knees wobble, had to say goodbye.
Teach, Learn, Share
Here are a few of my favorite quotes:
"Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple. "
"Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?'
"If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's,we'd grab ours back."
"Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does"
" No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up."
"IT comes in PINTS????"
