CURRENT MISSION

We have moved from Los Angeles to Valencia, Spain in May, 2017, and we are still here. We love living here, and we have been fortunate enough to figure out how to be digital nomads for a while.

ABOUT ME

Nick - I traveled from Los Angeles, California to Chile! I participated in a project to donate an ambulance by driving it from California to Honduras. Then from there, I traveled via bus, taxi, ferry, tuk tuk and many other methods to Panama. I took a Catamaran from Panama to Cartagena, Colombia and it was the best experience of my life! I completed a route around South America all via bus.

Tati - I finished my Landscape Architecture degree! I worked on several projects with a well known firm in the Los Angeles area, but my commute to the office was stressful. I needed to come to Spain to recover.

PHILOSOPHY

Stay young at heart. Keep life simple. Work hard, eat healthy, get outside and exercise. Spend time with friends, and find ways to help others out.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have not been able to host, but we have had great surfing experiences. We also meet travelers to show them around town. Nick has organized weekend camping trips and day hikes in California to take CouchSurfers who did not have their own transport to see the mountains.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had great couch surfing experiences over the years. Our hosts have always been very friendly and extremely helpful. They were the highlight of our trips! Before couchsurfing even existed, Nick hosted a friend from Brazil along with 2 people he had never met; they stayed with him for a month! He organized a couple of roadtrips from here to take them camping and visit San Francisco.

Visiting the Costa Brava northeast of Barcelona.
8 Day backpacking trip on the High Sierra Route through Sequoia National Park to Mt Whitney, the tallest mountain in the continental United States.

Tati is a good cook! Nick, however, is good at cleaning up in the kitchen afterwards. We love walking and playing with dogs. We can share our fun travel stories.
