About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Not a current mission, but a lifetime goal: to make the most out of life...
ABOUT ME
One thing I can say about myself is that I really love to live life. if we're already here, why not take advantage of it?...
Love to laugh, very optimistic - and vegan :-)
Extremely well-mannered, respectful and curious with a huge fetish to Japanese books, beer and fries..
PHILOSOPHY
The thing is, I have this one cliche that Ii really live up to, and that is - It's better to regret something you did, over something you didn't do...
I swear that's how i live my life, as it brings me many interesting experiences....
Also, I do my best to not hurting people, and be as thoughtful as i can..
Also, one important thing is, i have been vegan for about 3 years now, and about 9 years vegetarian prior to that.. I do that for ideological reasons, as i believe every creature deserves to live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was extremely lucky to be hosted by some great people, and this has showed me how great experience it can be. I only hope one day I'll be able to do the same and host myself.
For me couch surfing is not about saving money, but so that I can experience the local culture in the best way and meet different people and stories... I always travel by myself, just because I know it's the surest way to meet people and exchange cultural experiences.
Having said that, since for me this community is not about simply saving money (hell, I'd be willing to pay to be hosted by locals!), I'm very picky about my hosts... I know it might sound a bit funny, but as much as I enjoy meeting people, staying at the same house is completely different.. I choose hosts that I feel we both can benefit from this meeting.
Interests
Languages - I love learning languages. i know basic French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Japanese... i wish i had more time to invest in it..
Cultures - My favorite YouTube videos to watch are of those who live in a foreign country and talk about the "culture shock", or simply about the daily life over there... I find it exciting to compare the differences, even in the most trivial activities, such as paying on the bus..
Internet - I can spend hours over the internet. Though i really have no idea of what i'm doing there :-). But I actually
- culture
- books
- cooking
- vegetarian
- vegan
- socializing
- investing
- languages
Music, Movies, and Books
Pretty much everything, as long as it sounds good to my ears :-)
I hardly ever watch movies.. I don't go to the movies mainly because you can't pause the movie when you go to the bathroom :-)
and I don't have the patience to watch it at home by myself...
As to books, I don't really read fiction, as I feel like it's a waste of time (unless it's in another language..) and if I do, I borrow it from the library. I don't see the reason for buying a fiction book.
But I also ADORE non fiction books! The kinds that teach you new things about whatever!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wow, I have so much that I`ve got to do in my life.. i am the kind of person who isn`t not afraid to do things, so i just do them!
Teach, Learn, Share
I really like cooking for others!!
I love learning about things I don't know.
i would love to improve my languages, and of course help those who need it...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a person who is very much affected by the environment.. If the atmosphere is calm, I would most likely be so... If there's excitement in the air, my hyperactivity would be most likely shown... But once I'm your guest I let you dictate the pace.. I'm one of these guys you can't just say to "My home is your home" - unless I'm cooking! :-D
Overall, I am a very very convenient person.. I am super considerate and respectful..
