I'm an curious Dutchie, currently studying International Business in my beautiful home town in the north of the Netherlands. Before I started studying I took a gap year in which I worked to save money and then went on a working holiday in Australia for 5 months. I like talking about all different kinds of stuff and I really enjoy learning new things, whether it's how to cook your favorite meal, how to surf or a simple card game.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to meet new people (not just other backpackers) and see what it's like to live in another country. One day when I have my own home I would love to host some surfers too. Also, sometimes I feel like there's an instant connection between two travelers that they do not have with people who aren't as passionate about traveling.

Interests

I absolutely love anything that's new to me. People's stories and quirks, other cultures, new places, spontaneous ideas. Authenticity and inspiration are things I really value. Other random things I like: campfires, ice cream, discounts, Pinterest, stargazing and plants. Also, I became vegan during the summer of 2017.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm really into acoustic music. I've read a lot of books about WWII when I was younger and a lot of young adult books. I also like action and comedy movies, as well as documentaries about nature and travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo-traveling through Australia for almost five months. One of the best decisions I've made in life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Respect for you and your home, some company and good conversation, and some help with chores in and around the house, of course. I'm often in for a card or board game, a movie or some good talks. I don't mind cooking up a meal, in fact I enjoy cooking, and I can show you some of my travel photos.
