ABOUT ME

I can't seem to stay put. I work, I travel, and now I work and travel at the same time as much as I can. I want to settle again, I just don't know where yet. I had the jobs, real estate, etc. and have downsized everything- dramatically minimized expenses so as to free myself from job responsibility- as much as possible and clear space for me. Wait, who? oh, yeah, Me- yay! haha! I am naturally ambitious and have a very inquisitive sense and can make connections with just about anybody very easily. I always have lots of questions! I actively just try to have fun, try not let my "overly responsible" nature misguide me, and pursue whatever it is in me that makes my inner bells chime and then try to head in the direction of the ringing! It's sound good but it's not easy!

hmm, I want to keep this simple- LOVE YOURSELF! Be respectful. Keep learning! I'll start with that for now :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I just got started, and am really just getting oriented to this whole thing. I'd love to meet up with the local groups when I have a chance.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I haven't met with or stayed with anyone through CS yet, but I can already say it's been a great experience- just reading other's profiles and thinking through mine has been fun and valuable! Looking back I've lived/roomed/crashed with SO many people in my life, it's kinda ridiculous (counted 22 the other day). I either loved it or got over it no problem :D

Interests

generally, I am very interested in finding ways to break through the layers of confusion and distortion I've picked up along the way, shedding them and revealing the beautiful inner workings within. I'm always interested in the differences in cultural perceptions and expectations all over the world.

On a mundane level- I love to hike, camp. Kayaking is pretty great too. I want to learn to surf! I love to sing and dance. I love to hear what kids think about stuff (I know that's random but I just thought of it). OH, I also LOVE foosball but have to admit I probably get a little too competitive with it.

Ok- just a couple of each that come to mind first-> But really I LOVE music and LOVE big music collections and the people who play them!! I have to admit, I'm kinda lazy about my own (moving a lot does that....)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Canyoning in the Chilean Andes comes to mind first as I did it this past winter (well, summer there)- it's like white water rafting, but without the raft.
OH- and the Penguins in Ushuaia (ARG Patagonia)- Love at first sight!!
Then there was this fantastically local market in Beijing that we went to where NOONE spoke english, yet we managed to get along all day just fine- I LOVE that!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn to surf! I'd like to dance more. Especially salsa. I'd love to sing more. I really need to develop some sort of meditative practice.

I always would like to practice my spanish. I can also teach quite a bit about healthy cooking and eating, general housekeeping (or what I call "domestic engineering" :) I tend to be very food concious, but also try to be flexible and respectful of other's choices, holistic or natural remedies, massage, energy healing (not a practioner), also dog training, and lots of business ideas...
