About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission in life is to have fantastic adventures wherever I am while learning about other people, places and cultures
ABOUT ME
Ok, this is a hard question to answer because firstly I am quite modest and secondly, to answer this question accurately and in a positive manner would seem quite contrary to modesty! I guess that I would like my friends to say that I am loyal, honest, friendly, interesting and am a fun person to have around.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is to not have any regrets in life. I achieve this by making personal decisions which will enhance myself as a human being without affecting other peoples happiness and wellbeing negatively. These include participating and experiencing in as wide a variety of activities and ideas as I possibly can. I try to take something away and learn from every experience I have whether good or bad.
Interests
The things that grab my attention are new ideas and experiences and people, things and places that are exceptional in their quality and originality. Things that are dull, unoriginal or monotonous are not captivating to me. I like to spend my time meeting new people, exploring new places and experiencing new things and researching and learning new ideas or skills.
Music, Movies, and Books
Well I listen to a wide variety of music from the white stripes to kanye west to bob marley to lady gaga to simply use popular artists. I listen to music from all over the world of different genres and I believe there is good music in every style of music. For books I like to read widely from science to biographies to history to fiction to philosophy. The films I prefer are films which are artistically creative and original as opposed to generic poor quality forgettable Hollywood films for the most part.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The things that come to mind on my journey so far that aren't places and long stories, would be the incredible generosity of local people on multiple occasions. However, two distinct experiences come to mind. The first would be a lawyer I met on the street in Busan, South Korea who took me out to dinner, karaoke and put me up in a hotel having only just met me and footed the entire bill. I remember standing in the hotel completely awestruck at this mans generosity and the situation that had just happened. The second would be the time when a group of young Sikh men in Punjabi, India came to my rescue late in an evening when all the hotels I went into were completely booked out. The group of men invited me to eat and drink with them, before insisting that they drive me around looking for accomodation and eventually finding an expensive hotel. A subsequent good natured argument broke out between us as they insisted they pay for this hotel which I would not let them pay for. Again, after they had left I was standing in a hotel room completely awestruck by the spontaneous chain of events and their generosity.
