Hi! I'm Phill - I live in New Plymouth, NZ - basically paradise! I'm 38, I live in a flat with 2 others of a similar age, a 5 minute walk from the beach. I work a few jobs - regular hours for a local community radio station and I also founded and run Improv Taranaki - where we put on comedy shows at our local theatre. For this group, I am the artistic director, lead coach, MC, show producer, marketer, administrator.... the list goes on. It's my passion to spread this art, and the joy and love inherent to it!

I'm in a relationship, with my German partner (hence 'learning' German); she's a powerhouse of creativity and is similarly adventurous.

When I'm not working crazy hours, I have been learning to surf, enjoy running and reading.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love meeting new people and hearing about their diverse perspectives and ways of living life!

I always loved the ethos of this community - sharing culture, building authentic connections not based around financial transaction.
