We love travelling and meeting people from all corners of the world so even when we are not travelling meeting others and making their stay here a little more memorable is why we joined couch surfing

ABOUT ME

My husband and I have three adult children,only one still lives in New Plymouth and is married, one other lives in Wellington and the other in Blenheim. We are interested in tramping,camping,diving ...not in Winter any longer, love music..most kinds,but our latest passion is motorbikes. We both have a bike, Bevin has a YamahaR1 and I a SV Suzuki 650, we had an awesome 20 day tour of the South Island camping as we went and go to trackdays, which means we get to tear round race circuits in a safe environment..mostly (Bevin broke 4 toes last year)Our Son also loves motorbikes and attended many trackdays with us

We are only relatively new to this but have thoroughly enjoyed those who have stayed, its such a cool concept to bring the world in touch

Intereses

Tramping...love our mountains and tracks we have in New Zealand but love them anywhere else in world too
Camping..we have camped as a family every year while the children were growing up...now its just Bevin and I and we tend to camp while travelling around on our motorbikes now
Motorbikes, we both love to ride whenever we can..have many great cafe destinations.
Coffee...now there is a true passion of mine...flat whites,perfect brews they are what I crave and look for
Walking...I have belonged to a group that has mainly run and latterly walks. We have been together as a group over 21 years and we used to run Monday to Fridays and entered many marathons, half marathons and other road running series over the years, latterly though we walk instead as some injuries have slowed some up...we don't leave anyone behind so now we all walk
Art..I like to dabble in painting, pottery and weaving flax
Diving...we were very much into this for the past 20 years but have slowed up to only occasional dives over the summer
Bevin on the other hand has heaps of interests but is truly an inventor at heart with too many projects to name..but one of the most memorable has been building ROV's (remotely operated vehicle's...aka mini unmanned subs)

Love so many...hard to list, love Sci Fi, fantasy, action, well hardly a movie we dont like as escapism is what its all about
Books..Bevin loves factuals more so,Long way Round, and Long way round, Silkriders (all motorcycling but great)Loved Burt Munroes story also. climbing adventure such as High Crimes on Everest.
I love lots from Stephen King Horror through to the Twilight series as well as adventure non-fiction.
We love heaps of different music again through from Eagles to Metallica...scary huh

Machu Picchu....now there was an amazing place...somewhere I always wanted to go to..we got there to watch the sunrise and stayed there most of the day...it was such a wonderful experience
