About Me

Welcome to the realm of positive vibes and boundless exploration!

I'm Mohamed, As a 22-year-old Moroccan with a passion for travel and exploration, I am excited to embark on new adventures and live a life filled with nature and positivity. I have a deep appreciation for life's intricacies and strive to learn new things every day while engaging in meaningful conversations with others.

My current mission is to explore the world, learn new languages, and connect with people from diverse backgrounds. I believe that by sharing our experiences, ideas, and opinions, we can broaden our perspectives and create a more compassionate and understanding world.

As a person, I have my ups and downs like everyone else, but I am always striving to be my best self. I am a friendly, positive, and well-balanced individual who values authenticity and honesty. I am always up for new adventures and experiences, and I believe that life is a continuous journey of growth and learning.

One of my favorite quotes is about finding contentment in simplicity and refinement rather than luxury and fashion. I believe that true worth comes from within and that happiness and fulfillment are not dependent on material possessions or external status.

I am a quick learner and enjoy immersing myself in new experiences. Although I like to have fun, I am not a smoker or a heavy partier. I enjoy making others feel comfortable and happy, and I believe in treating everyone with kindness and respect.

Welcome to the tribe of free spirits and kindred souls. Let's connect, learn from each other, and make this world a brighter place, one adventure at a time. Cheers to the magic that awaits us!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to live in the desert, but I have recently relocated to a small village called Tagounite, nestled between Zagora and M'hamidleghzlane. This area is a melting pot of different cultures and is located just 20km from the closest sand dunes. I am excited to meet new friends and welcome them into my family home, where I can share my culture and way of life with people from around the world.

One of my favorite things to do is to explore the high desert and watch the sunrise and sunset from the top of the sand dunes. I also enjoy traveling with camels and sleeping in traditional Berber tents. Sharing these experiences with my friends is one of the greatest joys of living in the Sahara.

Hosting friends through Couchsurfing is the perfect way to meet new people and exchange experiences. We play Berber music under the tent, drink tea, and solve puzzles together. Couchsurfing provides a unique opportunity to discover other cultures and make new friends from all over the world.

Like everyone else, I have experienced both good and bad times in my life. However, I joined this site to connect with new friends and share the beauty of the desert and our unique way of life. I look forward to meeting you and sharing unforgettable experiences together.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I don't have a specific "go-to" genre. Instead, I enjoy exploring a wide range of musical styles, from rock to jazz, classical to pop, and everything in between. I believe that music has the power to evoke a wide range of emotions and can be a powerful tool for self-expression and communication.

I enjoy discovering new artists and songs from different cultures and backgrounds, as each one offers a unique perspective and sound. Whether I'm listening to music while working, exercising, or just relaxing, I find that it has the ability to lift my mood and transport me to another place.

While I don't have a specific "favorite" genre of music, I do appreciate well-crafted and thought-provoking lyrics, as well as intricate instrumental arrangements. I believe that music is a universal language that has the power to connect people from all walks of life and can serve as a source of inspiration and comfort during difficult times.

Overall, I'm open to exploring different types of music and am always on the lookout for new artists and songs to add to my playlist. Whether it's a catchy pop tune or a hauntingly beautiful ballad, I believe that music has the power to touch our hearts and souls in profound ways.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have a strong desire to help people and share the beauty of my town with others. I enjoy meeting new people and showing them around, whether it's through a guided tour or simply offering a place to stay.

If someone contacts me and needs a place to stay, I'm always happy to lend a helping hand. Whether it's a short-term stay or a longer visit, I believe that hosting others is a great way to connect with people from all over the world and learn about different cultures and ways of life.

In addition to hosting, I also enjoy sharing my knowledge of the local area and offering recommendations for things to see and do. Whether it's pointing out the best restaurants, hiking trails, or cultural landmarks, I believe that sharing information and experiences is one of the best ways to help others make the most of their visit.

Overall, my goal is to be a welcoming and helpful presence in my community. I believe that by opening up my home and sharing my knowledge, I can help others feel more connected and engaged with the world around them.

Teach, Learn, Share

One of my passions is sharing the music and art of the desert with others. I have experience teaching a variety of instruments, including the djembe, darbouka, santir, guitar, and more. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced musician, I am ready to help you develop your skills and discover the unique rhythms and melodies of the desert.

In addition to music, I also have a passion for art and love to share my knowledge and resources with others. Whether you're interested in drawing, painting, or other forms of visual art, I have everything you need to get started. From basic supplies to more advanced techniques, I'm here to help you explore your creativity and express yourself through art.

My goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment for anyone who wants to learn more about desert music and art. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor from afar, I look forward to sharing my knowledge and helping you develop your skills. So if you're ready to explore the beauty and richness of desert music and art, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

What I Can Share with Hosts

One of my favorite things to do is to share the traditional Sahraoui tea and Moroccan sweets with others. This is a special ritual that involves brewing strong green tea with fresh mint and sugar, and serving it in small glasses with a side of delicious Moroccan sweets.

The tea-making process is an art form in itself, and I take great pride in preparing it just right. I use high-quality ingredients and follow traditional methods to ensure that every cup of tea is flavorful and aromatic.

I also enjoy pairing the tea with a variety of Moroccan sweets, such as honey-drenched pastries, nut-filled cookies, and flaky puff pastries. These sweets are the perfect complement to the tea, adding a sweet and savory element to the experience.

Overall, I believe that sharing tea and sweets with others is a great way to connect and build community. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor from afar, I invite you to join me for a cup of Sahraoui tea and some delicious Moroccan sweets. It's a special experience that you won't forget anytime soon.
