About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To take advantage of what couch surfing has to offer: meeting interesting people with intriguiging stories

ABOUT ME

I often dress up like a pirate. There's always some occasion where it is necessary whether it be to ride around campus on a John Deere gator or to have sword fights on the beach.

Overall I can bring a lot of fun to a group. My roommates and friends bring out the best in me when they're around.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy on life can be summed up with three quotes:

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do."

and

"Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out of it alive."

and

"Life is about the journey, not the destination."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy hosting in order to meet people and help gain an understanding of other parts of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got into couch surfing when my roommate joined and signed us up to host. So far we've hosted around 8 surfers from Chicago, New York, Germany, and France with several more scheduled for the future. I've never surfed a couch yet but will probably try it on future trips.

Interests

  • socializing
  • surfing
  • beaches

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Classic rock stuff mostly with some 90s rock thrown in the mix. Recently my roommates have gotten me into some mash-ups and electronica.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing and unique experience I've ever had is probably going out to sea for several days aboard a US Navy Cruiser. There is something quite majestic about being hundreds of miles away from land with nothing but beautiful ocean and sunsets around you.
