About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live in the happiest, most fulfilling way possible!

ABOUT ME

I smell good. HAHA I CAUGHT YOUR ATTENTION. I wish to experience a variety of new things and have fun! I'm open-minded and I love real conversations. I like to think I'm nice, I have a lot of friends, am very social and outgoing. I was born and raised in Brazil with a younger sister and brother, and my parents are Americans from Michigan (we are all very close). One of the reasons I think I chose to attend MSU for university, was because in a way, I wanted to go back to my roots. Took time off college to do an internship in Cape Town, also work and travel throughout Brazil, with indigenous peoples, at a yoga studio, teaching english and babysitting kids... some gigs. I believe in universal love and unity, positive revolutionary ways of being. Attempting to live life collaboratively to the fullest. Nowadays I'm a B.A. chick living back in my wonderful concrete jungle home of São Paulo, studying documentary making, working at an up and coming film production company, and also collaborating in social development projects.

I appreciate this cheesy quote:

"As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances, you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Might be able to host someone, but for now interested in meeting people during my travels!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a great experience in California with two couch surfers!
And in Cape Town, met new friends at a short film festival and arranged to teach some Portuguese classes because of this network.

Interests

I love to learn! I want to, will visit as many places and meet as many people as I can in my lifetime. I also hope to as a career improve people's lives, so I was involved in student organizations at my university and engaged in volunteer work related to development, NGOs, micro-financing and empowerment. I love music, books, film, photography, fashion any type or art I guess...life. "i think everything in life is art. what you do. how you dress. the way you love someone, and how you talk. your smile and your personality. what you believe in, and all your dreams. the way you drink your tea. how you decorate your home. or party. your grocery list. the food you make. how your writing looks. and the way you feel. life is art."
