Saving the world and nothing less. Although I know I can only contribute a tiny little bit, but that exactly is my mission.

ABOUT ME

I am a very curious, idealistic, genuine, and open-minded person. My list of things I'd never try is rather short. I live my mission, not in a missionary and completely flawless way, but rather by trying to inspire others while being inspired by others. I'm also a very observing person, both towards myself and towards others. I like details and I like people with edge and personality. Intensity is a word that appears frequently when my friends talk about me. I'm also full of flaws and contradictions. I can be serious and I can make a complete fool of myself if it's fun. Among the things I'm most proud of: so far, I got happier the older I got.

PHILOSOPHY

Happiness is the road and everybody is free to choose their road with one simple rule: freedom of choice goes as far as it does not limit that of others. Besides any other purposes of life we could come up with, I think we are here to experience life, and to learn and grow. That above all means experiencing social interaction. Places can be impressive, but it's the people we meet there who make them special and make us want to go back or stay there.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the idea of cultural exchange as the basis for the CS project and that is what I am interested in and curious about. Being a tourist and seeing all the sights can be nice, but it is so much more fulfilling and enriching when you actually get to talk to locals, hear their stories, how they live, get a glimpse of their angle on their city or country. So my participation is simply to become a part of it, as a host and as a traveller.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For now I'm a total beginner. The only experience I had was going to a Couchsurfing party in Montreal a few years ago. Then, having constantly heard good things from friends I finally got involved.

Interessi

I'm a curious and active person, very much into experiencing new things, cultures, or people. I love and care a lot about nature or the environment in general. I love mountains and just about any activity on or around them, like hiking, skiing, biking, or climbing. Water is also an element in which I am very comfortable swimming, kayaking, or windsurfing. Sport helps keeping my inner balance, preferably while running or practising Capoeira. Otherwise I am into photography, reading, movies, music (listening and sometimes making), and dancing. It goes without saying that travelling is one of my favourite activities. Sustainable development is a big interest and my job.

Standing at the Puerta del Sol after four tough days of Inka trail and a short night, seeing Machu Picchu in the first light of the rising sun. In this very moment I felt like I understand it all.

Insegna, impara, condividi

I love everything about and around sustainability and love to talk hours and days and nights about it. After all it's what I spend most of my life with as I made it my job. Always happy to share that.
I am curious just about anything (with the clear exception of football and formula 1 though), so most happy to hear and perhaps learn what you want to teach.
