ABOUT ME

ok well im 27 my name is Jake and i have lived in Germany for the past 4 years. I completed my Stonemasonry apprenticeship in July 2011 and continued to work at the same company up until Christmas of the same year. I decided to leave to brighten my horizens, see the world hopefully as much as i can an better myself as a stonemason. I play the guitar and have done for the past 9 years or so, but as musicians go im pretty tragic, its just something that puts a smile on my face and keeps me out of trouble. I enjoy sports, basically anything apart from cricket which i am rubbish at!hmm yeah im a pretty easygoing chappy and am up for anything really.

PHILOSOPHY

Havnt really got a philosophy, but i like to think that i take people on face value without prejudice and pride myself on the fact that i can communicate with pretty much anybody.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well my couchsurfing experiences to date have been non existent at best. I find the whole idea extremely positive and opportunistic, but unfortunately due to where i lived( Überlingen tis but a hidey hole for old people ) i wasnt really asked to host, and due to the fact i didnt have a computer when i was asked it was too late. I have tried a number of times to surf myself but as of yet have been unsuccessful, but that was also my fault as i hadnt planned my trip in the slightest. So as a round up i would say , generally good. Im not easily put off so theres still lots of time to help and enjoy.

Interests

Lots of interests. Ive recently taken an interest in learning, when i realised that during my school time i pretty much just played football and didnt really concentrate. I have alredy mentioned that i play guitar, this is almost a secret passion as im not much the performer, but of course when one plays one also appreciates. Music can as is the case for many, determine ones state of mind. Music is just a wonder ill leave it at that.

Music, Movies, and Books

well music wise im into indie such malarkie whenever i try an remember what bands i listen to for some reason i always think of the manics and the beatles,puzzler, but anything that is good i will listen to, but what i have found in germany is a radio station called fm4 from austria an anybody who really likes listening to cool music check it oot, its really rather good. i also like t read, the chronicles of the raven by james barclay,really good, philip pullman an northern lights,the subtle knife and amber spyglass ive just finished,really good, im waiting for stephen kings the dark tower series as i was told that is also good,so i like fiction really.
More recently i have been trying to expand my language skills by reading german books and am half way through abgefahren which is just wonderful.
