Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed a few couches but unfortunately have never been able to host. However, I pick up hitchhikers when I can, if that counts. :) Oh and I did attend a local CS picnic once.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed couches across the United States, met up with local CS'ers, and tried to meet up with a Couchsurfer while I was in Taiwan. The majority of my experiences have been positive, treasured memories where I've made lifelong friends. Interesting anecdote: My first host moves often, and I've surfed his couch in three different states!

Music, Movies, and Books
I've recently decided to give up fiction for a while in exchange for non-fiction, spirituality, biographies, and industry (healthcare) reads. What a grownup, right?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I broke my leg on a road trip but didn't realize it until I got home. I walked, swam, hiked, innertubed, camped, etc on a broken fibula for a week.
I went on another trip and got severe pneumonia. I had to go to 3 different hospitals and had lung surgery.
Since then (knock on wood) I've had problem-free travels, even hitchhiking around the US for 2 months!
