ABOUT ME

I'm very eccentric, make silly jokes, laugh a lot, am a bit crazy, and when I am happy I am VERY happy!
I love playing games like Backgammon and Whist that have elements of both luck AND skill. I love dressing up and have an aversion to wearing black clothes..I can't help but only wear bright colours. In fact my whole family is the same-perhaps it's genetic..
I love dancing, if you stay with me we will probably put on some music and dance around at some point! I don't think people need drugs or alcohol to have a good time, in fact the best times in my life have been when I am completely sober!

PHILOSOPHY

I am trying to be more MINDFUL and stop focusing on the past and the future all the time. I think it's the best way to be-but it's hard! I try to practise meditation, but I always forget :(

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sadly I am mostly at university so I cannot host much but my parents might even host you when I am not there..or I can host you in university holidays. I am hosting for the first time next week -I am very excited. I surfed last summer with a friend and am about to try my first solo couchsurfing experience in Barcelona for 2 weeks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed twice last summer, first in Vienna with an incredible family and then in Munich! In Munich we took bicycles all around the city..as a Cambridge girl I love to cycle! And swam in the Eisbach..I love swimming too, and again I am a true English girl and like swimming in cold water, ponds, anything.. I recently went in Hampstead Heath swimming ponds for the first time and it was great!

Interests

I love reading, novels, poems, plays, and PHILOSOPHY! I love acting- theatre, on the stage.. or just for friends as a game. I love meeting new people and discovering interesting facts. When I start laughing I can't stop and it's sometimes a bit embarrassing.
I also love to write. I have written a diary every day of my life since I was six years old. Now I am trying my hand at journalism.. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, just this morning on a walk with my grandmother in Scotland we found the most TINY frog. We decided he was the smallest frog in the world. And on our way back he was still there so we said hello again and he was just as small..

Teach, Learn, Share

I study philosophy and love debating interesting topics like whether we have free will..at the moment I think we don't have free will-but perhaps I shall change my mind tomorrow! Maybe we can discuss it.
I love learning new languages- I am getting worse at French because I never practise it but I would love to learn any language. I also love teaching English.
At the moment I am learning Ancient Greek for a play I am doing at university (http://www.cambridgegreekplay.com/) so perhaps I could help someone with that!
