Overview
About Me
I've spent the past 25 years focused on raising my kids as a single parent and now they are grown. I have time to concentrate on myself and would love to travel again. I am eager for the adventure of visiting new countries, meeting cool people around the globe and connecting with other cultures. I'd also love to find online work or teach English along the way to pay for my travels.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I may try to teach English in South Korea or travel to Spain to help others learn English and may need someone to stay with for a brief time. Beyond that I really want to travel and explore other countries and space in someone's home could really help me out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I couchsurfed before there was even such a thing. Back in the 70s I toured Europe with a Eurail Pass and remember meeting a Swedish pilot on a train bound for Stockholm. As we chatted he learned that my friend and I needed a place to stay and he promptly offered up his British girlfriend's apartment while she was on holiday. He gave us her keys and left us.
As everyone knows getting clean after days of train travel is a luxury. How lovely it was to relax in a nice apartment and soak in a hot bath - and this was on New Year's Eve. What a special way to welcome in a new year. This Swedish man's kind gesture has stayed with me all these years.
