ABOUT ME

I'm a linguist and a lover of language! I love connecting with people from other parts of the world, especially through another language than English. I learn so much from new ideas and laugh so much through these experiences, that I find myself travelling more and more as time goes on. Right now, I'm living in Utrecht finishing my dissertation on how the dialect in Amsterdam developed during the 17th century as a result of immigration. Let's get coffee or beer sometime and discuss!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to keep an open mind and learn from everyone I meet. I love being with people from all walks of life, but I feel really comfortable hanging out with everyday people. Love dive bars!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I drove from Atlanta to LA with three friends from Germany. It was an awesome two weeks. Then our car blew up in the desert and we were stuck in Baker, California (home of the world's largest "rectal" thermometer ;-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have taught German and Dutch, so I can help anyone who wants to learn. I'm also good with English ;-) I'm also a programmer and right now I'm interested in building electronic corpora for analyzing language.
