About Me

Hello! Im 23, 6 feet tall and Bolivian. Im pretty new to cycling but as of Sept 18th 2015 I started touring Europe on my bike. I hope to make it 8 months and come back home to the United states just in time for my little sister's university graduation mid May. This is my first long distance touring experience. Im prepared to sleep in the backcountry if needed in all 4 seasons but being able to sleep in someones home, away from the elements or even in someones back yard, is always a lot safer and I would really appreciate it. I've actually already slept under a bridge and in an abandoned building during my travels and so can adapt to any sleeping situation no problem. This is my first time in Europe and I am super excited to experience the countryside and cities on bike. I have no restrictions when it comes to food and I don't smoke but don't mind others smoking. Im allergic to cats but if you have a backyard I will happily camp out even if you have a cat. I actually love cats but i can't be around them for too long, I start sneezing a lot :/.

Im traveling around Europe at the moment so I can't host anyone until after my trip but will be happy to do so to pay forward all the kindness I've received once i get back

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

1. To absorb as much culture and knowledge as I can from other while also sharing what I can.
2. To have a warm place to rest while on the road and meet locals.
3. To pay forward all the hospitality I've reviewed while on my travels and learn as much as I can from those traveling as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to ever make a comprehensive list. I'm very easily entertained so most movies and music. Book are more difficult because I never have time to read although I would love to do so more consistently.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm currently doing it: traveling Europe by bicycle for 8 months. 2 down, 6 more to go.

I also consider it amazing that I've been hosted by so many friends and Couchsurfing members (who are all now friends as well). Because of this for the majority of my trip I've had a warm place to sleep and haven't had to get my tent out. Not to mention I've met lots of fun and interesting people through them as well. 6 friends, 1 Warmshowers host, and 8 Couchsurfing hosts and I've only been traveling for 2 months!

Back when I was a big gym rat weighing 98.5kg, I was able to bench press 186kg, squat 250kg, and deadlift 256kg. I was close to competing at a national level for powerlifting. I quit in March 2015 though to prepare for this trip and lost 19kg since then. I'm probably no longer very strong haha.

What I Can Share with Hosts

10 years of serious weightlifting wisdom (I was very close to competing at a national powerlifting level before I quit lifting and went on my current 8 month trip around Europe), I can teach Spanish and share my Bolivian culture, and I can cook but I don't believe myself to be more than mediocre at it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Belize, Bolivia, Czech Republic, Germany, Guatemala, Iceland, Mexico, Netherlands

Countries I’ve Lived In
