ABOUT ME
I'm from the beautiful rocky mountain range of Canada and I think they've made their mark on me. I have a big passion for the arts. I've just spent the last three months traveling and WWOOFing (volunteer organic farming).
PHILOSOPHY
I donºt know if I have a personal philosophy, yet. I just try to be a good person, it's easier than it sounds. ;D

Music, Movies, and Books
Pulp Fiction is my favorite movie.
I enjoy a wide range of music, but I mainly play Folk.
I just read Slaughter House Five by Kurt Vonnegut and it was fantastic. Lolita is up there in my favorites. Crime and Punishment was waayy too depressing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently killed, defeathered, gutted and ate a rooster. I wouldn't call this an amazing experience, but I'm glad it happened.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you about killer whales. Their latin name, Orcinus Orca, actually means "whale from hell" or something like that. There are several different groups of whales. There are residents, who hunt fish and mostly stay in their chosen territory, there are transients, who hunt larger game like whales and seals (they're crazy) and there are off shores, which scientists don't know much about. Killer whales don't pose a threat to humans, but we certainly pose a threat to them. PCBs, produced by Monsanto till 1974 despite knowledge of their toxicity from the 1930s, have caused a large number of reproductive and immune problems in killer whales, reducing their numbers around Vancouver Island by 30%.
PCBs are present in nearly every living thing, including humans (and especially in mammal infants as it is off loaded through breast milk), and have caused and continue to cause significant damage to food chains around the world. Due to the stability of PCBs, they bio-accumulate and will stick around indefinatly. A batch of PCB contaminated soy oil in Japan caused a large number of still born babies, blindness, stomach ulcers, skin lesions and deaths. Russia, apparently, still produces PCBs. Well, there yeah go. I guess high school education isn't all bad.
