Présentation
À propos de moi
I'm from Quebec (Canadian East Coast), born and raised in big, busy, cold but great Montreal city! I love my home and my country, but I also love to escape it!
I'm an avid traveller. I don't want to be a tourist, but a traveller. I'm all about wandering in such a way that'll allow me to discover other people's cultures and ways of living from the inside. I love to travel through doing volunteering, work exchanges, couchsurfing, meeting locals, and road trips :)
I'm also a photographer, my second passion.

In English people call me Odie. (Yes, like the dog in garfield!)
Je suis francophone! Y también hablo español :)
I think I am an open-minded, easy going and simple person.
Also, I've been vegetarian since the age of 7. My mom was understanding ;)
PHILOSOPHY
Living in the present moment. Seizing the moment.
To be open minded, to avoid judgment or assumptions.
To go with the flow, to be positive.
Simplicity, love, compassion.
Laughs, humour & smiles.
Curiosity, creativity.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For now I unfortunately can't host. I'm travelling and don't even have my own place!
To me, couchsurfing is not so much about saving money, but about being able to visit places from the inside and to meet amazing people throughout the world. It's fun to meet fellow travellers, but travelling without meeting locals is not the same to me. I always fully read the profiles of the people I request to stay with and do so because I think that we could get along.
Centres d'intérêt
Photography and travel are what I love most.
I am curious and have a keen interest in discovering other communities' cultures.
I have a particular interest in aboriginal cultures. And I LOVE kids.
I also have a big interest in people in general, nature & environment, international cooperation, music, theatre, movies, reading, creativity...
Oh and food - who doesn't love food? I have a sweet tooth and always want to try (vegetarian) local things wherever I go.
Since I'm from the city (urghh) I really enjoy and appreciate being in nature and remote areas. I love every opportunity for outdoor activities like hiking, rock climbing (limited skills!), canoeing, biking, camping, etc.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
My all times favourite book is The Power of Now, of Eckhart Tolle (not a novel). I recommend this book to everybody. I enjoy spiritual and personal growth books. For novels, my favourite authors are Agatha Christie and Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt.
For movies, I can't choose a favourite. I love Disney and Pixar classics. Forrest Gump is one of my favourite American movies. There's also a bunch of Quebec and French movies I love, like Diner de Cons, Mission Cléopatre, Bon Cop Bad Cop, etc...
For Music, there's so much stuff I love I don't know where to start. I'm open to a lot of genres. How about you learn when we talk about it? :)
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Every place visited is an amazing experience!
If I had to single out some, I'd say galloping in the Tunisian desert with a berber nomad and his beautiful horse, spending two nights in a hammock in the amazon jungle of Brazil, seeing wild horses on a volcano in Ecuador and seeing the Aurora Borealis in Northern Canada.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I did a 3 year photography program, so I can help you with anything related to photography!
I speak (Quebec) French, English and Spanish so I can help you with that.
I also have some very basic Haitian Creole skills, if you're curious.
I'm quite curious and interested in pretty much any knowledge people have to share with me! I especially love learning languages!
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
I can share laughs, good vibes and stories.
When being a guest at someone's place, I'm always mindful of cleaning up after myself and helping my host in any way I can. Common sense, right? I'm also very low maintenance and understand when my hosts are busy.
