Overview
About Me
My name is Odin and I'm from the backwoods of the great Pacific Northwest, an hour or so outside of Seattle, WA. I'm a traveling musician, in search of places to play, stay, and other musicians to play/write with. I'm a super low maintenance personality and would love to learn from the locals about whatever town I end up in. I also enjoy drawing and cooking, and am always willing to both share and acquire knowledge of both. I'm a beach bum at heart; I like a low-stress good time with likeminded people. Coming from a small town, I have very relaxed liberal morals and believe in mutual respect and lifestyle freedom. Anything else you'd like to know, I'm sure you'll learn in person!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'll be backpacking through Western Europe as of October 2015 for an undetermined number of months to escape hard labor and the mundane. I would like to meet local people and other travelers. The weirder, the better.

Music, Movies, and Books
Musically, I'm all across the board. Everything from The Doors, Cream, The Grateful Dead, and Crosby Stills and Nash to Frank Fairfield, The Black Angels, Thee Oh Sees, and beyond. As far as film goes, I won't claim to know anymore than I do. I like Quentin Tarantino, The Coen Brothers, Richard Linklater, and most anything with Seth Rogen in it. Literarily, I enjoy the works of Charles Bukowski, Oscar Wilde, J Maarten Troost, Jon Krakauer, J.R.R. Tolkien, and a whole lot of others. My favorite artists are R. Crumb, Bill Watterson (Calvin & Hobbes) and Gary Larson (The Far Side).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cooked minute rice in 58 seconds.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm formally trained in music theory and can teach the guitar or the banjo to whoever's so interested, though I did, regretfully, sell my banjo back in London. I'd be more than open to learning different painting and sketching techniques as well.
