About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Lead a life of adventure, learn, love and laugh.
ABOUT ME
If I had to summarize I'd have to say I love:
adventure, fun, doing things that scare me, learning languages (and then, of course, speaking them), travelling, being active (biking, hiking, pole dancing, gymnastics, yoga, rock climbing, cliff jumping when presented with the opportunity, scuba diving, snorkeling, free diving, exploring, dancing...), enjoying life and its small pleasures (drinking red wine/coffee, sitting in coffee shops and reading, having a good conversation with a stranger or a good friend, making a delicious meal, eating a delicious meal, smelling something that evokes a memory, dancing by myself or with others, learning to play the guitar...listening to talented people play an instrument or sing, writing, learning, reading...etc. etc. the list could really go on forever.)
PHILOSOPHY
Have fun. Never settle. Learn. Relax. Don't get attached to anything except people. Laugh lots.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Music, Movies, and Books
Sci-fi, fantasy, adventure, independent films, and 50s musicals where they sing and dance. A couple favourites: Respiro, Midsommar, el Laberinto del Fauno, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Fifth Element, Labyrinth, Calamity Jane, Sunshine...
Books: depends on the time of my life…from the intellectually stimulating to books that allow for a bit of escape. I've read all of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series and quite like Brandon Sanderson, and Martha Wells. Also really like an application called Blinkist which summarizes a ton of non fiction books.
Music: almost everything! LOVE: Arcade Fire, Shakey Graves, the Tallest Man on Earth, A Tribe Called Red, Chet Faker, Ali Farka Touré, Patrick Watson, Little Scream, Amos the Transparent. Love the old school jazz (Judy Garland, Chet Baker, Doris Day, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra), blues (Lightnin' Hopkins, Son House, etc.), electronic, bluegrass, folk (I have an eternal love for Neil Young), acoustic, opera, choir, rock and roll…
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swam with whale sharks in Utila :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
Things I know about:
Scuba Diving, Spanish, French, English (Italian-ish), teaching, tree planting, promotion, writing, fundraising, manual labour, managing, human rights, public speaking, giving presentations, community organizing, international development, activism...
Things I would like to learn/experience:
Sky diving, windsurfing, surfing, wilderness survival, handstands, get better at rock climbing, more macro economics courses, learn a few other languages, get work and writing published, learn the science behind gardening and sustainable agriculture, how to build a sustainable house/greenhouse, be more patient, how to make money working less, etc. etc. etc.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some vegetarian cooking, lots of energy, random conversations, good stretches for improving flexibility, and some gyrating dance moves if good music is provided.
