4 months ago I came to the Netherlands from Russia as a political refugee. Before that, I first tried to get to Egypt, where I had friends, and then - to get a residence permit in Turkey, where I did not know anyone. But in the end, I'm here, in the country I fell in love with 8 years ago. For the last 3 months I have been volunteering at BOSK Arcadia in Leeuwarden (walking forest). Now, while I am just waiting for the final decision of the immigration service to obtain a work permit, I want to explore the country and get to know its people and culture better.
