I'm a social activist living in Israel. I work in informal education, mostly community youth work. I also live in an urban kibbutz, which is kind of like a big commune. Could be called a group of communes probably.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It seems a much better way to travel. We've hosted a bit in my community and it was very interesting and nice to meet people from all over the world. I myself haven't traveled this way in the past years, but I would like to from now on.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I love a lot of different music. Rock of all kinds (from classic to punk, post-rock, folk, noise), electronic, experimental, jazz, Israeli music. It would be very hard to pick a certain artist.
Movies - Mike Leigh, Michael Haneke. I love lots of movies.
Books - I grew up on Fantasy and Science Fiction. Evolved to other fiction. Mostly read non-fiction now.

I'm not sure I understand this category. I would love to learn from you! I don't know specifically what someone would want to learn from a traveler. As a host I could definitely show you my community and an interestingly different way to live.
