About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.

ABOUT ME

I am blessed to be from Brazil a place with such a rich diversity, a complex blending of ethnicity and an eclectic mix of music and art.My personality is reflected by my culture.I enjoy the moment, I love to explore new ideas and to be inspired by the people I meet. I am laid back and enjoy good conversation.

PHILOSOPHY

All the pathos and irony of leaving one’s youth behind is thus implicit in every joyous moment of travel: one knows that the first joy can never be recovered, and the wise traveler learns not to repeat successes but tries new places all the time. For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new and starting to see how I can further get involved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When i went to India it was a complete and spontaneous decision. I bought the ticket and I was on the air plane the next day. When I arrived at 2am, and stepped out of the airport expecting to find a bright city, but instead was overwhelmed with taxi drivers competing for my business and I had no idea where to go. Through the friendly people my trip was excellent and I left with long time friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Taj Mahal in India was amazing. I arrived early evening so the sun was just about to come down. As the sun lowered in the sky the white marble started to glow in orange and red tones. I sat towards the back of Taj Mahal and closed my eyes to take in the warmth of the marble, the smell of incense in the air and this amazing feeling of seeing one of the 7 wonders of the world. Six more to go!

Teach, Learn, Share

What I have learned in my travel is the great art of price bargaining. You have to have a solid stare and be as ridiculous with your low offer as the sellers are with their high prices. As the seller laughs at your ridicules offer you maintain a serious but not scary face and then settle for the price you intended.
