About Me

Hello, Shalom and Halo! My name is Ohad. Until recently, a student of computer science & linguistics in Be'er Sheva, now living and experiencing the northern city of Hifa.
I like travelling, I like learning new things, then telling the interesting parts to others. I am acting in an ametaur improvistion group in BS and enjoying every minute of it.
I really like music, even though I don't play anything seriously, and I'm extremely passionate about linguistics, and anything concerning human language, so you already know how to make me happy in a conversation!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, I love travelling, of course. Who isn't? But traveling isn't about siteseeing, but more of the atmosphere and experience that a different place gives.
I haven't reach out the point when I'm traveling 24/7, but hosting people is a way for bringing these trip events here to my home, discovering with them how special every place can be with the right look, and hopefully to give an experience to someone else.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like things to challange me. I like progressive rock like Genesis, and any kind of complexed and interesting music, like Alt-j or Bjork, (and some other bands I guess you've never heard of ;-) ).
I like movies that are either very real, like "Boyhood", or a complete nonsense, like "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs".
I like children movies and animation too. Never grew up properly!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There were two: 6 months in the far east, just me and a backpack; and a student exchange program in Konstanz, Germany. It just felt like a big trip, with a perfect atmosphere to discover more and more about people and the differences between culture.
