About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Eat, eat, eat as much pizza as I can. For inspiration.

ABOUT ME

Writing, comedy, and pizza are my passions. I'm currently in the process of moving to Chicago to take classes at Second City.

I also like cats and cheese-its.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My roommates and I all use couchsurfing and have had quite a few people stay with us in Harrisonburg. We're more than happy to host anybody interested in seeing Harrisonburg, especially if they enjoy outdoor activities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a good amount of travelers and had great experiences.

Interests

Writing, music, people, cats, and inspiration. I play violin, guitar (not very well,) piano, and sing. When playing with other musicians, skilled or not, there is a connection that goes beyond words. It is the most fulfilling way I have found to interact with other people. The connections I have made with other musicians are the strongest and most long lasting I have experienced.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Thailand I jumped off a raft in the middle of a pretty sweeping river. I couldn't gain my footing and the river just took me away. The bed of the river was covered (as most rivers are,) in huge rocks that beat against my body as the water carried me. I eventually made it back to the raft safely, but that day, I learned the power of nature. I'm glad I took the leap and even though nature has the ability to destroy my body, the power of the rushing water completely surrounding me was the best feeling I have ever had.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love music and writing (you getting the picture?) I teach you the basics of violin and piano, as well as writing from an essay, personal narrative perspective.

I want to learn everything! Anything you have to teach me, I will absorb. So long as you are passionate about what you do, you will inspire me.
