ABOUT ME

People have described me as quirky, weird, nerdy, dorky, happy, smart, empathetic, optimistic, artistic, creative, ambitious, sarcastic or that I don't fit a box ... among other things. I'm very much the coffee, museum, bookstore kind of person. I'm always looking for something artsy and craftsy to do and I'm very tactile. So when I work I like to construct things or sew, not really draw or paint. I have have some business ideas that I'm currently researching and pursuing.

For the most part I don't mind going to or doing things by myself. If I waited around until someone was free I would never do anything or go anywhere. Apparently this is a novel idea to my friends and family. I enjoy traveling, road trips, hiking, camping, bike rides or just sitting on the beach, reading a book and perpetually looking for inspiration.

I like to dedicate some of my time to volunteering with non profits. Currently I am working with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the I'm Too Young For This! Cancer Foundation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had this CS account for such a long time but I haven't actively pursued anything; mostly because life got in the way. Now I am hoping to use it as I begin to travel more. In the future I hope to reciprocate. But as of right now I crash at a cousin's house so I'm kind of like their long term couch surfer.
