About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to experience life the the fullest

ABOUT ME

I graduated from Ohio State University in March of 2009 and moved to Alaska to be a kayak guide in April of the same year. That experience was a real life changer and I have been traveling ever since. I am an outgoing, positive, adventurous person, and I really like trying new things. I'm a pretty good cook, but I love trying new foods and preparation styles, so if you want to cook then I'm more than happy to do the dishes.

PHILOSOPHY

Life attracts life.

I am a strong believer that people are a product of their environment. I want my environment to be awesome.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've used this website not only to find couches to surf but also to find local activities in areas where I don't need a couch. Couchsurfing is a great tool to meet new people and get connected. Hosting surfers is another great way to meet fellow travelers and experience a cultural exchange.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My favorite couchsurfing experience took place in New Zealand during an event known as the Tongariro Crossing. We had over 100 couchsurfers from more than 40 countries involved in this amazing hike. The crossing itself only took one day (one amazing day) but the nights that we camped before and after were some of the most fun times that I've ever had.

Interests

kayaking, swimming, climbing, biking, hiking, canoeing, playing sports, socializing, diving, surfing, SUP, skiing, meeting new people, learning new thing, drinking beer and playing games.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I kayaked over 100 miles on an adventure in Alaska. We camped near grizzly bears and paddled beside killer whales. It was an excursion that I will never forget.
