About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to get out of my comfort zone and experience new cultures.

ABOUT ME

All I can say is that I love culture. Music, art, language, food. It's all good. I am very sensitive to other people's ideas and values and hope that other people can do the same. I cook, play a variety of instruments, and work hard to expand my horizon every day.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't really know where I am going at this point. I am doing everything i can to lead my life into something meaningful and open.

Being constrained is the worse, being open to everything is the best way of living. Without trying everything once or more, how can you ever know anything?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't yet got the chance to Surf, but plan on doing it very soon.

Interests

I am presently very passionate about gardening.
This includes the labor, the product and the education of it all.

I am also very appreciative of music.
I play the guitar, trumpet, the saxophone, the harmonica and a little piano. I love to jazz it up, or replay songs.

Cooking is something that I do nearly three times a day, sometimes even more. Would love to teach all I know and learn more.

I am attempting to be a craftsman on my spare time, from making handmade salves and moisturizers, to small scale carpentry.
Would definitely like someone to show me more in this regard.

I love the outdoors, go for many hikes, cross-country ski trips, iceskating, snowboarding and running. Whenever possible I enjoy swimming in rushing water, kayaking in the wavy champlain and jumping off high objects into low and deep quantities of water.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have any set genres. I just listen to what makes me feel good. Sometimes its garden zen yoga music. Other times its twangy bluegrass!

As for books, i love cookbooks! I thoroughly enjoyed 'In defense of food' and "An omnivore's dilemma" by Michael Pollon. One of my favorite "BOOKS" is Be Here Now by Baba Ram Das. Any book that can provide me with something new and profound, I will give my attention.
I am working on a cross comparison of all Holy books. I have started with the Holy bible and The Tao Te Ching.

This winter i've attempted to understand the relativity of the Utopian society by reading Brave New World and Island by Huxley, Communist Manifesto, Anthem by Ayn Rand and Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen a woman fight through an unsurvivable cancer and survive ten years past she we supposed to.

I have seen a woman start a community garden in an innercity-very urban school district. In which she teaches 2nd graders how to love the earth. All while struggling with a broken hip and a family to take care of.

I have seen a woman that gave birth to an 11 pound baby manually.

I'm proud to call that woman my Mother.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook. I can express my concept of sustainability.
I will teach as much as I know.
