About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Not to follow a path but to leave a trail that others may follow.
ABOUT ME
I wear a smile wherever I go because I have a very positive outlook on life and I have a happy nature. I love to meet new people, who can inspire me with stories about their life experiences, and whom I can share my own stories with. I always want to challenge myself in new situations, learn more about other cultures, customs and places I've never been to, and have fun. I'm an old head on young shoulders, because I've experienced a lot, but I'm young and free-spirited.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that everything happens for a reason, and that helps me to make sense of good and bad situations. I also think that leading a good life and being a good person will enable me to leave an impression on people and be treated the way I want to by those I meet. I am rarely in a bad mood because if I can't change something, I move on.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm very open minded to travel to new places and meet new people along the way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am relatively new to this experience but intrigued to learn more about it. I've stayed in a few different homes now, and I'm happy to say all the experiences I've had have been really positive and I look forward to returning the favour to those who've been kind enough to accommodate me.
Interests
I'm a social anthropology student who caught the travelling bug when I carried out voluntary work in Chile a few years ago. The best part of the trip was feeling inspired by the community and giving something back to them for their hospitality and open arms. I like people who make me stop and think for a moment, and leave an impression on me. I am part of a big family and my parents introduced me to all modes of life from a young age, always encouraging me to speak to strangers and look further than what I could see on the outside. I spend my time singing, studying (cough), seeing friends, visiting unfamiliar places, just so I can experience a new part of the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Dived in the Great Barrier Reef; climbed to the top of Lascar (the most active volcano in the Andes mountains, in which the rim of the crater is at an altitude of 5,400 metres); performed on The Edinburgh Playhouse stage, which is the UK's largest working theatre; watched the sunrise at the most easterly point in Australia, skydived in Byron Bay; two canyon swings in Queenstown; been in a plane that was struck by lightening and had to do an emergency landing, to name a few ...
Teach, Learn, Share
I find that the best way to learn is from lived experiences, and sharing stories with other people can inspire and motivate us to follow the same paths. I'm relatively well travelled and I have a broad understanding of cultural diversity through the people I've met and studied as part of my degree. I also know a lot about music and art because I'm a singer and I love to draw for pleasure.
