ABOUT ME

So we both belong to an organization called Join the Impact-Chicago. We've included it's mission statement because it explains what we believe pretty well.

Join the Impact Chicago is a politically independent organization of Chicago-based grassroots activists fighting for full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people in all matters governed by civil law in all 50 states. Through education, community organizing, and direct action, JTIC is working to eliminate federal, state, and local laws that codify discrimination on the basis of gender expression and sexuality. We will not settle for compromises or half-measures, and will not rest until we are recognized as fully equal.

Join The Impact Chicago welcomes everyone who supports our mission to win full LGBTQ equality. We do not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, creed, religion, national origin, political party affiliation, ability, health status, physical appearance, or any aspect of sex, gender, or sexual orientation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are both activists. We are socially justice minded and spend much of our free times doing grassroots organizing on a number of different topics! LGBT issues especially important, as is the environment, social services, peace, love, women's rights, etc

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Other than random mornings waking up in odd places, we're basically new comers to the world of couch surfing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a great appreciation for astronomy and cosmology and consider myself well informed on the topics. I love to share the awe of our universe with others. I am a vegetarian and love to garden and to cook. I have well educated on a number of topics and greatly enjoying share any and all of my knowledge. I got that way by being a constant learner so please teach away! I work at a university hospital so I continue to take classes for free
