I've been restless all of my adult life and have been fortunate enough to be able to travel- since I got married four years ago I've traveled within the United States and am looking forward to traveling internationally again soon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used Hospitality Club for my train trip across the U.S. and was pleasantly surprised with my first ever free hosts. I subsequently couchsurfed in Spain and Costa Rica, and then most recently in Italy in 2011. I have been a guest so many times and been treated so well that it's lovely to finally be settled into my own place where I can play host with my husband.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies are tough, I love so many. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is one of my all-time favorites, and Airplane always makes me laugh.

Some authors I love are Thich Nhat Hanh, bell hooks, and Ina May Gaskin, plus most any travel memoir.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love this small city I live in! It's fun to show people around and share stories of where we've all been.
My last trips were to Boothbay, Maine, in June and to Seattle, WA in March. I travel both alone and with my husband and I love to share tips on solo travel, and we're learning the art of traveling with our little husky mix, Juno.
