About Me
Hello there couch surfers, My name is Joe.
I'm 30-year-old guy from Nova Scotia Canada. A little community called Little Harbor. Grew up near the ocean and spent my childhood running around in the woods, playing pretend and catching frogs. I have a deeply ingrained sense of spirituality and appreciation for nature and the world around me. That inspired me to study science and university. I studied biology, chemistry, plants, animals, astronomy, economics.
I'm self employed as a lobster fishing captain in the Atlantic ocean. Like my father and grandfather.
I'm passionate about scuba diving. The underwater world is my second home. I'm a certified instructor. I love rock climbing. I feel like a hamster on a wheel, you just keep going out because it's so fun.
I love meeting people from all over the world and all walks of life. I try to maintain a positive outlook inlife and be grateful for the good problems I get to fix.
I'm easy to get along with and promise I'll respect any boundaries you set.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it's an amazing way to meet new people from all over the world while keeping a roof over you head. Once I have my own house I intend to be a host. The kind of people you meet are different then the ones you meet on the typical tourist trails.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went from failing in my first years of university to getting all A's by the time I finished.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach; I can teach you to dive and certify you as an open water diver. How to isolate mycelium on agar and grow mushrooms. I can teach you about Atlantic Canada. Further east than Quebec. The maritime provinces are a unique place with their own music and culture.
Learn; I want to learn about history from the viewpoint of people who lived through it. About other people's taste in music, their hobbies, and how they see the world. About their live, hopes, dreams. Times they struggled and persevered.
Share; I can help you fix things around your house. Anything you need a second person for, moving furniture for example. I can share my Nintendo Switch with you. We can play Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Mario Party, and Crash Team Racing. You can try the new Metroid Prime 4.
