Présentation
À propos de moi
I am a friendly travel enthusiast and blogger at https://oindrilade.com/. I've spent 5 years working for investment banks (as a risk analyst and market data analyst), but now, I do travel blogging full time! :-)
I love to eat, and I do that most of the time. Some people don't believe me when they look at my physique, but then I challenge them to an eating competition (which they obviously lose). I wonder why most people live with the misconception that foodies are big boned and flabby. Eating actually stimulates your metabolism and sort of self burns the calories! :-) Isn't that awesome? Oh yeah, and I also like to walk and run. Perhaps that helps?
I instagram actively. You can find my travel pics here - https://www.instagram.com/oindrilade (handle @OindrilaDe)
For social media addicts, I'm also on Twitter (@OindrilaDe or https://twitter.com/oindrilade) and Facebook (https://facebook.com/OindrilaGoesFootloose)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
My choice of music depends on my mood. When I go running, I listen to fast paced and upbeat tracks to keep me going. I like Spanish songs and Latin music in general for dancing. When I'm feeling emotional, I listen to soft, romantic songs with meaningful lyrics.
Books are my best friends. I've spent my school life reading a lot of fiction (usually adventure, mystery and romance). These days, I read non fiction, mostly Finance and History based.
I absolutely love romantic movies!
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Many, actually! Right now, I can only recall a few -
1. I was kissed by a sea lion in Singapore when I was twelve.
2. I'm the first Indian to run the Vilnius Half Marathon (Lithuania).
3. I've camped in the snow in the Western Himalayas and finished a moderate level trek despite having swollen feet by the end of the week long trip. I've got some amazing memories from this one!
4. I've done solo hiking in Salzburg and Budapest.
5. I once lost my way after reaching the top of a plateau (Dhak Plateau in Karjat), and had to spend the (stormy & cold) night in an abandoned, haunted hut in the middle of nowhere. That experience has changed the way I see the world now.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I can teach you:
1. to speak different languages - English, Hindi, Bangla
2. to cook - simple dishes from Indian, Mexican, American and Italian cuisines.
3. to dance - basic salsa, rumba, cha-cha, international jive, paso doble, samba, rock and roll, bachata and waltz. I have passed my social and pre-bronze levels from ISTD (London)
I will learn whatever you are willing to teach me.
I can share my food, time, long walks (exploring new places) and fine conversations with you. If you are a bibliophile as I am, I'll be more than happy to share my books!
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
My experiences, stories, travel expertise, writing, books, lessons in English, Hindi and Bangla and advice on personal finance. I can also tutor students in Math, Science and English. If you are a foodie, you will love my cooking! :-)
