About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be myself and create a life of love!... Enjoy life whatever it brings to me!

ABOUT ME

For 8 years of my professionnal life I was accountant/finance analyst. In the while I discovered that I could enjoy traveling by myself discovering the world with a 1st trip of 3 months in South America. Then a trip of 7 months that took me to India for 5 months made me discover the world within myself through meditation, which is the start of the big turn about in my life. I went on to Thailand , Laos and China (simply because of love). After a short come back, time to get rid of all my belongings, I went on travelling for 2 years in Asia with the idea of going on discovering the world and at the same time learn something new, mostly about massage and yoga. There I completed a yoga teacher training course in Sivananda Ashram in Nayyer Dam in Kerala and then volunteered there to start to get some experience in that field with local kids and started to teach yoga to some Indian people I loved it! Back for a year in my home country I started to share what I had learned on the way.
But I am not yet ready to settle down for now... Still a lot to experiment on the way so I decided from 2010 to follow up a nomadic life for some indefinite time... thus my life goes on!

If you are curious to know what happenned during this nomadic life, invite me! I'll be delighted to tell you some travel stories then... I'm still living it ;-)

Like a migrating bird I tend nowadays to spend my winters in Bahamas volunteering in the Sivananda Yoga Retreat. I offer a program of yoga with kids and other programs related to detox with juice fast. The rest of the year I travel and manage to earn a bit of money doing seasonnal work in agriculture to keep in touch with Mother Earth.

PHILOSOPHY

I live in the present moment without forgetting that it's buidling up my future... to discover, to learn, to love, to share and above all to enjoy!

I prefer not eating meat and go generally for organic food. I love raw food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Host and be hosted,

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

while I had a home in the very touristic small town of Beaune in Burgundy I really enjoyed hosting CS and showing them around.

Later on I've been on the other side, surfing the couch of others and it is really great too!!!

I loved travel from East to West of France and do the grape harvest with Couch Surfing!

I also enjoyed hitchhiking from California to Canada on the West Coast, being hosted by CS hosts on the way...

In Summer 2012, I had a job in Drome, a part of France new to me. The job kept me busy 4 days a week and spent the 3 other days visiting the area and hiking with CS, wonderful!

Another summer I surfed some couches while hitchhiking around Gaspe Peninsula in Québec. Awesome!

I enjoy so much when I get the chance to meet again with couch surfers and sometimes in different country from where we 1st met. It happens quite sometime and I just love it!

Interests

Vipassana meditation, Yoga as a life style, massage, music (all kind, I carry a guitar around and happen to play few songs). To be connected to the people from every where, I carry also a laptop with me to store pictures, music, writings and sometimes share them on FB or other blogs...
Drawing portraits, learned from my friend Delphine, Wwoofing, I got started in Italy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the matrix, Amelie, Baraka ... many French movies and also from the rest of the world

Music of all sorts: French pop, world, A lot of Indian traditional music and bajans (devotional songs). Lounge music to chill is also a favorite.

Many spiritual books, novels, among them 'the unbearable lightness of the being' of Milan Kundera...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To quit my ordinary working life to experience a new way of living: travel, be in the xchange with others with as less as possible of the money intermediary!

Pet a shark and an instant later being pet by a mantra ray in the beautiful turquoise Bahamian ocean.

Teach, Learn, Share

Thai and Ayurvedic Massage, yoga, meditation or travelling stories, songs (accompanied by the guitar), french or vegetarian recipies, and above all, simplicity.
New to me, those are some fields where I'd love to evolve : accro yoga, improv contact dance, perma-culture, sprouting

What I Can Share with Hosts

I Enjoy very much when I have access to a kitchen and love sharing whatever meals I prepare in simplicity: composed salads, quiches, crèpes, only vegetarian though ;-)

I 'd be happy to keep up my practice of Thai yoga massage techniques so for willing hosts I can offer this practice.

I'd be more than happy to motivate anyone who would like to join me either in my meditation or yoga practice as well.
