ABOUT ME

Hello! We live in Sydney, Australia, love traveling, and love meeting other travelers when we're not traveling ourselves. We're both students, been married for 3 years, and we have a cat! I'd say we're pretty easygoing and fun, not really party animals but sociable and would never say no to a conversation - especially if it's about history, politics or current affairs. We LOVE to eat. Over the last couple of years we've been to Argentina, Chile, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Bangladesh, and China. This year we plan to go to Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan :)

It's mostly Oishee (female) who looks after this account, so if you get any messages/requests from this account it's most likely her!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hoping to couch surf ourselves, but if that's not possible would love to even just meet up for a meal or a walk with CS members :) We also have a double bed and host couch surfers when it is available but we often have friends and family staying.

We prefer to host women but will host men for short stays. I wear a headscarf and it's a hassle to have to wear it at home for prolonged periods!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've met up with a couple of travellers while overseas, and more recently we've couchsurfed with two in Turkey! It was the best experience EVER and I would do it again 100 times over! :)

Interessen

I am doing my PhD in Social Sciences and my husband Will is doing Honours in History, so those are obviously some topics we are interested in. In addition:

Me (Oishee): Travel! And eating! Soccer, hip hop, funk, soul, motown, politics (especially identity politics), photography, writing, fashion. I love nature, and I can't travel to a place without seeing some natural landscapes. I also love hiking or just going for nature walks. I teach at uni two days a week.

The boy (Will): Also travel! And also eating! International politics, history, debating about anything and everything, gaming (consoles, PC, tabletop), hip hop.
