About Me

Hello! My name is Vanesa, and I’m traveling with my little daughter Omara. I´m 35 and she’s 5 years old. Together, we’ve been traveling around Asia for the last 2 years, and every day, every place have been a blessing.
I´m a kind of independent filmmaker, recording shorts films with lot of love and a small budget. Traveling keeps me open mind, cultivating day by day a global vision: to know to reflect.
Omara is a great traveler. She is very open, can easily adapt. Her capacity to get surprised about new thing is pure and teaches me. She loves to play with other kids and animals, showing everybody that fun has no language.
We have a simple way to travel, always slowly, have no rush. We like the poetry of life that breathes inside the all things, discovering the world just like someone who open a gift, feeling at home in it, experiencing it as the best school, and appreciating it like someone staring at a jewel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a new experience for us and I think that it fits perfect in our way of traveling. It´s allow us to get out of the superficial face that tourism offer, and get in the reality of the people, shearing an authentic sight, and why not to make good friends too?

About films…more than tittles, I rather follow authors, the directors. Omara loves Ghibli studio movies, Pepa pig, and princess stories in general.
About books, J.L Borges books. There are so many great authors in Latin America!I would love to know more about sufi´s tales. Other books: “Zen in the art of archery” by E. Herrigel, “The prophet” by Kahlil Gibran, and finally, a great book about nutrition “China study” by Collin Campbell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Love is the answer!

Teach, Learn, Share

We can share many information about the countries we had traveled. Also, we enjoy cooking, learn how to cook typical dishes, and teach the ones from our country. We are Vegetarians (no fish, chicken, meat, pork and not judgment about other people choices :) We have been vegetarians for a long time ago, so we always find a way to adapt and share a meal.
