ABOUT ME

I currently go to UT Austin, and I live at a co-op in Austin. I like to go out with my friends and explore Austin. Every opportunity I get, I love to travel. I've mostly only traveled around the US, but there are so many more places I'd love to go.

I'm a math and astronomy nerd who enjoys good beer and good food. I love to cook and try new foods.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

During the past year I have not been very active in CouchSurfing, but I hope to change that! I cannot currently host people because I live in company housing. I would love to travel to other cities this summer, and I hope to couch surf more often.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only couch surfed once, and I had an amazing time. I have also met some amazing people, and some of my best friends through couchsurfing.

Interests

Hula hooping, dancing (especially swing dancing), playing the piano (I just started this summer), cooking, reading, watching movies, hiking, riding my bicycle.
I also love being outdoors. Hiking, backpacking, anything that gets me outside.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Jane Austin, but I don't have enough time to read as much as I'd like to.
I like so many movies. Some of my favorites include Before Sunset, Cool Hand Luke, and Pulp Fiction.
I like all kinds of music, but lately I've been listening to a lot more jazz, folk, and soul music. Some of my favorite artists include:Fred Neil, Odetta, Neil Young, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Blossom Dearie, Otis Redding, Nina Simone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

completing a year of service with AmeriCorp, hiking the south rim in Big Bend, going on a roadtrip from Texas to Oregon
